Role Overview

As a Power BI and SQL Developer you will play a key role in designing, developing and optimizing data models, data warehouses and interactive reports using Power BI. Your primary focus will be on transforming raw data info meaningful insights that drive business decisions, ensuring that reporting solutions are both efficient and scalable. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and strong collaboration with data analysts and business stakeholders to ensure the highest quality of reporting and analytics. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring data integrity, security, and performance while working in a fast-paced, international environment.

It's mostly remote work, we'll ask you to meet us in the office once or twice a month. 

 

Key Responsibilities

·       Design, develop and maintain interactive Power BI reports and dashboards, ensuring they meet business requirements

·       Implement scalable data models that support complex reporting needs

·       Build and manage the data warehouse architecture, ensuring optimal performance and scalability

·       Establish and maintain robust data connections to various source systems, ensuring seamless data integration

·       Collaborate closely with data analysts to refine reporting requirements and deliver high quality analytics solutions.

·       Provide technical guidance on Power BI capabilities and best practices, helping analysts navigate technical limitations and possibilities

·       Estimate and manage your own workload efficiently, ensuring timely delivery of reports and solutions

·       Identify and address data quality issues, providing clear and structured feedback to analysts, management and data governance specialist

·       Ensure data security and compliance, proactively engaging with data governance and security specialists to address any concerns

·       Work effectively in a multinational team environment, demonstrating strong communication and teamwork skills

·       Manage work under tight deadlines, prioritizing tasks to ensure critical business needs are met

 

Requirements

·       Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Information Technology or a related field.

·       3+ years of experience as a Power BI Developer, SQL Developer or a similar role.

·       Knowledge of the JDE system would be an advantage.

·       Strong analytical skills and experience working with large datasets.

·       Proficiency in BI tools (Power BI) and SQL for data querying and reporting.

·       Database administration skills in SQL Server

·       Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure

·       Solid understanding of ETL processes, data integration strategies, and bet practices for data transformation

·       Experience implementing data governance and security best practices

·       Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot data-related issues effectively

·       Ability to work independently while also contributing as part of collaborative team

·       Excellent communication skills, particularly in an international, cross-functional team setting
