Role Overview
As the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Manager at Dallas TX, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and effective management, development, and operation of all aspects of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) in alignment with our continuous improvement principles. Acting as a beacon of integrity and adherence to company policies, you will lead by example, always embodying our commitment to HSE excellence.

Key Responsibilities
Duties will include but not be limited to: 

 

  • Collaborate with the site senior leadership team to drive and develop the company's HSE strategy, leveraging innovation and best practices to foster corporate sustainable development.
  • Provide inspirational leadership, direction, coaching, and guidance to the site team, fostering a culture of HSE excellence and accountability.
  • Develop and set goals and targets aligned with the business unit and group objectives, monitoring progress, and tracking organizational performance.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all HSE matters, both internally and externally, offering technical support as needed to effectively manage all HSE aspects.
  • Supporting the development, implementation, and updating of HSE policies and procedures in line with the IMI HSE Framework.
  • Leading accident/incident investigations to facilitate continuous improvement across all processes.
  • Conducting analysis of accident/incident statistics, identifying trends, and proposing improvement plans.
  • Preparing and implementing appropriate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive company and departmental HSE performance.
  • Ensuring regulatory compliance in accordance with local legislation and communicating any changes to the Management Team.
  • Conducting and leading internal, external, customer, subcontractor, and regulatory risk assessments, audits, and inspections as required.
  • Ensuring the availability of suitable material, resources, and safety equipment required for effective HSE operation.
  • Monitoring the industrial hygiene program and leading all HSE-related committees on site.
  • Supporting the HR department with HSE induction processes during onboarding and HSE training requirements throughout the employee lifecycle.
  • Performing any other duties appropriate to this post, as necessary or as requested.

 

Critical Competencies for Success

  • NEBOSH International Certificate or equivalent local HSE certification is mandatory.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in an HSE-related position with thorough technical/practical knowledge of HSE regulations.
  • Proven track record of success in HSE with strong exposure to operational activities in a similar industry.
  • Successful management experience in a similar organization, with a demonstrated ability to deliver results and drive improved performance.
  • Ability to work in a metrics-focused environment and analyze data for reporting and analysis.
  • Experience working within a high-performing environment and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Operating within a global manufacturing/ technology business and a balance of working both strategically and operationally.
  • Strong working knowledge of HSE management systems, environmental, fire, and industrial hygiene processes.
  • Understanding of relevant ISO accreditation frameworks and auditing management systems would be advantageous.
  • Evidence of working with and implementing continuous improvement tools and techniques.
  • Strong computer literacy skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
